Why we exist

The science of detecting an earthquake or a tsunami is mature. What is not mature is the path from detection to a human being who can act. Data sits in institutions. Warnings arrive late, or in the wrong form, or not at all in the places where the coastline is longest and the budget is smallest.

Low Frequency Labs was founded to close that gap. Our team has spent careers in geophysics, in ocean sensing hardware, in software, and in uniform. We know what a warning has to look like to be useful at 3 a.m. to a watch officer, a harbor master, or a village council, and we know what it costs to build the systems that produce one.

Our work spans naval and military asset protection, government and public-sector monitoring, higher education and research, and direct partnership with coastal and island nations.
